  • June 25-30, 2018

  • Meeting with the governor of a new province in the DR Congo, as well as 5 other regional offices – including the Intelligencia (equivalent of the CIA) – the BELT members delivered the same message, “We have come to preach the gospel of Jesus in your city. We believe that when the Bible is applied to every part of society, your city and nation will be transformed.”

The team went on to exhort the officials against acting corruptly and accepting bribes, and to instead promote true liberty built on the historically proven principles of God’s Word. At each office, gratitude for the message was expressed.

As these seeds were sown in the formation of this new capitol city, more seeds were scattered among other community leaders and pastors who then went on to proclaim Christ’s message on street corners and in meeting places. Days of powerful prayer followed in the marketplace where healings took place, as hungering hearts opened wide to Jesus.
  • With one week left in this closed Asian nation, the BELT team was unsure what God had in store for them. The following morning, they received a call, “Come now!” So cancelling all other meetings, they jumped on the train. Arriving at an arts complex, they went upstairs where 50 attendees were crowded into a small room, eager to receive teaching from God’s precious Word. And there, God’s love was poured out.

“God wanted to show me that He hadn’t forgotten me.” (young mother)

“You brought Gods love to us.” (many shared this)

“You teach differently from others. Your teaching is practical and is helping me to renew my worldview to the biblical way of thinking.” (police officer)

The team leader shares, “Coming to this country, I felt we were carrying precious seed and God opened the doors for us to plant those in fertile soil – hearts that were hungering for a deeper relationship with Him and for His truth. This was one of the most exciting trips of my life!”
  • Hundreds of remote populated islands dot the Pacific, where it takes days to get to and from the nearest airport. To live on these islands is connected to many hardships, especially in the face of cyclones and earthquakes. Though many of the people living on these islands may feel forgotten by the rest of the world, their Creator has not forgotten them. Yachts for Life empower remote Pacific Island communities through sharing knowledge based on Biblical principles relating to every sphere of life (BELT) and through sharing basic community development practices.

Mandolin (33 foot yacht) and Sea Hawk (53 foot yacht) give outer island communities the opportunity to make a significant contribution to life as God intended it.

By March 31, US$100,000 is needed to pay off Sea Hawk to see it continue investing in these not-forgotten ones. Would you ask God if He’d like you to be a part of seeing Sea Hawk continue to sail God’s light and care to these isolated islands?
